When tradition and future merge, the floor becomes art. In recent years, a new renaissance has begun for the Venetian floor, while maintaining the value of tradition, new binders have been elaborated for the creation of modern and trendy environments.

The origin of the Venetian floor dates back to Roman times but it is in Renaissance Venice that it reaches its greatest diffusion. Using poor and recycled materials, floors of enormous artistic value have been created that have been able to overcome the passage of time unscathed.

Recognized by the whole world as an artistic and cultural product of our territory, the flooring is made by specialized terrazzo workers who have always protected and safeguarded the value of craftsmanship and the professionalism of their creations.

It is with continuous research and technological innovation, the result of years of studies and tests, that the binder in Pietra di Venezia® was born in the Venetian lagoon area, it replaces, overcoming its limits, the old lime or the current cementitious or resin products.

The Terrazzo Ducale® has a low thickness (<1 cm) depending on the granulometry of the aggregates mix and offers the possibility of creating low-thickness Venetian-style terrazzos and spreads without demolishing the existing floors. It adapts to any historical and prestigious environment as well as to the most modern and minimalist style. The binder in Pietra di Venezia® allows to sensibly reduce construction times, facilitates the cleaning of tools and unlike hydraulic binders, it does not shrink and does not crack. Depending on the setting, the finish can be glossy or satin. Daily cleaning is facilitated by the total absence of joints, allowing its aesthetic qualities to remain unchanged over time. The Pietra di Venezia seal-doubloon certifies the authenticity of the product used.

Pietra di Venezia® is a completely natural material perfectly suited to the requirements of green building, with zero emission of volatile organic compounds, which allows the creation of low-thickness Venetian-style terrazzos even without demolishing the existing flooring. Unlike hydraulic binders, it does not shrink, it does not crack and reduces construction times. Compared to resins, it facilitates the cleaning of tools, does not create polluting sludge and allows it to be mixed even with wet aggregates. Pietra di Venezia® is an antibacterial, antistatic and flame retardant material.

Refined and versatile, the Venetian floor adapts to any setting be it residential or commercial.
